Went this past Saturday and brought home 17. We had two over 2lbs. Caught a pile of short fish. Never caught as many short fish as I have this year on Talquin. John Deere 13-16 fow. Good Luck
The only "easy" day, was yesterday!

haven`t ben to Talquin in years but when i was there what i saw was a lot of campers and they all had freezers full . with a 25 limit but they would hit the lake several times a day when the bite was on . that is a small lake ahd is over fished .most any lake will be slow or small fish ever 5 years .

    .
retired and now i will always fish

Thanks. I’ll be heading that way in the morning. Hopefully we can scratch out a few over the next couple weeks.

I’ve never seen it this bad. I’ve been coming down here for a couple weeks at a time the past several years and my buddy has been coming down here and staying at least a month every spring the past 18 years and he say’s he’s never seen it this bad. Most folks are catching 10-15 a day and 90% of them are 10”-12”. Hopefully it’ll turn around soon but she’s fishing tough right now.
