    Default Blackshear

My brother is headed over Saturday for the first time, I've only been once so I don't have much information for him other that go to Flint River Outdoors and get some jigs. This will be his first time trolling jigs on his own. I ordered him and Navionics map card for his GPS so he can see the channel and ledges. We are going camping at the state park March 12-14 but he wanted to go scope out the lake before we went camping.

Can anyone give some colors that may work and an area he can start? Anything will help.

With the water muddy I would be using Firetiger, Horsefly, Kentucky Lake Killer, Christmas tree, Halloween, Mistake...if its stained or clear anything with blue in it and a pink head.

My brother went Saturday and tried his best trolling. He caught 3. I talked to him several time throughout the day and I told him to fall in line with other boats trolling until he got it figured out. We will be at the camp ground the 12th-14th.

Blackshear is a tough lake. It will humble you from time to time. I have been fishing there for 20 years and just when I think I have it all figured out, it will get me.
