I have the same question. Boat hooked-up and ready to pull out in the AM. I normally fish the lower end of the lake since I'm coming from Tifton. Next week heading back to Talquin. Hopefully the fish will start down there. It's SUCK since Christmas!

I'm going to try and make it up there February 6th to longline and mainly check out the campsite I got rented for March 12-14th. I rented a spot and my buddy who has never been to Blackshear rented a spot.

Made it to the lake around 8. Fished the area around the dam to Cedar creek. Was able to catch 5 and bunch of hybrids. Water temp 49-50 degrees and they were pulling water I guess to get ready for this rain Friday. Wind got up around 10 so gave it up and came in around 11. Fish stacked up in the channels. Water was somewhat muddle but not has bad has I thought it would be. Thats about to change tomorrow!

Fishing is tough right now. Front after front is getting tiring.
