So after a 20 year fishing hiatus, life gets in the way sometimes, I am back on Allatoona. This time with my kids. I grew up fishing the lake with my dad and unfortunately that long of a break I kinda forgot a lot of what I had learned. My dad is up on Hartwell now fishing striper.

Any good starting points? We used to always fish the Kellogg Creek bridge at night and did pretty well. What about evening fishing or morning? My kids love getting out on the water, but there are only so many times we can go our without catching much before they lose interest. In all fairness, we only went out once so far. We marked fish and good structure down about 10-15ft but got no bites.

Not looking for anyone's secrets, just maybe some good pointers to help out. I've got a good(not great) fish finder, and a basic trolling motor, nothing fancy.

Thanks!
