    Default Lake Lanier Crappie Fishing

Hello all. Wanted to see if anyone has tips for fishing Lanier. I've searched docks, points and today followed the creek channel. I think I am 1-50 on that lake.

Any help would be awesome. I know time on the water is the only way to learn but sadly I think I'm just burning money on gas and bait!

Most of the crappie fishing I've done is always north end of lake i.e. Clarks bridge, wahoo, little river or up the chestatee around toto creek area. Better up north as there is usually some color to water. Good electronics are a must. Deep docks and brush for the summer pattern.

Learn to dock shoot - it is so much more fun than trolling! Ultraslab is correct, and he hooked me up with some mighty fine waypoints. I quit fishing Lanier until the fall, unless I go at night - I cannot stand the boat traffic, wake boats, jest skis, inconsiderate and dangerous boaters, and other assorted morons that crowd that lake. See you there in September.
