    Default First day on Blackshear

Well we didn't wear them out but did manage to catch 4 and gave then to a local man that was fishing the pilings under 280 bridge. It was hot and muggy. Rain went north of us twice and south of us once. I found a small school on a ledge at the point of the south side of cedar and the main channel. I could only get 2 of them to bite. I left that spot and started trolling north from cedar with no luck so I figured I would try shooting docks for the first time. First try caught a fish and never had another bite, beginners luck I guess. We left from there and went to the 280 bridge and tried dropping jigs by the pilings with no luck so I switched to minnows and caught one. After lunch the jet skis and ski boats came out. I talked to a local man that was fishing the pilings for about 15 minutes and I ended up giving him my 4 fish to add with his few. Here is a picture of my first fish on Blackshear. I will definitely be back in the fall and spring.

I'm headed to Eufaula Sunday after lunch for several days. I'll try to post some reports from there.

Most of my fishing is between Lakepoint and Cheneyhatchee. I have never been north of Lakepoint and Pataula is as far as I have ever been south.

i went to the north end and fished the trees in smokehouse Wed the wife and i . i caught 10 went back Friday and caught another 10. missed Thursday i needed to rest and thought there would be thunder storms. misplaced my camera so i don`t have picks . when i started home i found the camera looking for the wife's billfold. didn`t find the billfold think some one stole it out of my truck . at the ramp parking area. i am sure i locked it but when i came in they were a little bird in my truck and the window was open . thing is i ahe 2 guns in the backseat and the billfold was under the passenger seat . nothing else was missing .
retired and now i will always fish

The one in the picture is my grandpa's. I borrowed it because my parts didn't come in. It's a Rhino 175. I have a scandy white 15'11". At Eufaula I'll be in my 20ft Xpress spider rigging.
