    Default LakeMaster Chip

For those of you using the Helix depthfinders do you use the LakeMaster or the LakeMaster Plus chip? And all I can find is the Version 5 chip for the LakeMaster chip so I assume that is the newest version?

I know there are some of you that download each lake or just use the base map preloaded onto your unit but I'm only referring to those that have purchased the LM chip. Thanks guys.

I use the regular Lakemaster chips. I do have a plus chip but haven’t used it yet. All the lakes I fish are on the V5 chip and are HD. The HD means that the lake has been physically charted by Humminbird and are pretty close to exact.

Thanks for replying. Ive about decided to wait until I actually get the unit and get it installed and SEE what the preloaded maps look like. Then, if not satisfied, I'll order the Lakemaster 5.0 V chip. Thanks for replying.

You will need the Lakemaster software. The base map is OK but the topo is not good.
