    Default Lake Lochloosa

Me and my little Buddy went down to Lake Lochloosa Florida for some fishing. This was my third trip down to Florida this year and every time I catch cold front conditions with WIND! Two other boats went with us. Day one was just wicked, day two was wicked-er, but day three was wonderful. We all had a big time but this was my last trip to Florida.

Left to right is Gene Durden, Ernie Maddox, Dennis Linn, Me, John Pearce, and Michael Black.

On day three these fish were caught in 3 FOW fishing 1 foot deep with minnows. All three boats caught good fish. Fish were Specs(Crappie).

I have ONE more trip planned for out of state but after that I am fishing in Georgia PERIOD. Time to act my age.

Good post, pics, and catch. Back in the early 70’s we use to get pounds and pounds of frog legs out of Lk Lochloosa. It’s great how well the lake has rebounded from some of the droughts of years past. Good luck on all your future fishing adventures be them near to home or not. Thanks for the post.

    Nice fish.

I use to love traveling to fish, but now I do my fishing on a few lakes Blackshear, Eufaula, Oconee and Sinclair.

I have more water to fish, than time to fish.

When my wife and myself moved to Ga I told her I wanted a lake big enough to never learn so between Oconee and Sinclair I got my wish.
