I’ve had one for two years and like it for longlining. I like being able to use the foot pedal as well as the remote. I use a foot controlled TM for everything else other than longlining.

Powerdrive V2 is a great trolling motor, I am on my 3rd one. (I had the shaft on one break, but thats a story for another thread) I had co-pilot on my the 1st and 2nd ones and it is a simple yet effective system to use for long long lining, the system has some quirks, mainly the constant have to "drive" using the fob and it will tend to veer off to one side or the other if your attention is on another matter. All in all its a good a system, that I caught alot of fish using.

I have the auto-pilot on my current Powerdrive and it was most defiantly worth the $500 upgrade, but the lack of the foot pedal is a downside.

I have used the Power Drive V2 for the past 15 years and loved it. The PD V2 with co-pilot, as Dutch mentioned, does require alot of attention because you are constantly having to steer it to stay on course. The Power Drive V2 with Auto Pilot is the way to go. For long line trolling, I liked the Auto Pilot just as well as the I-Pilot. I recently upgraded to a Terrova and really love it. It has the I-Pilot, but the only feature I use on it is Auto Pilot.

I love my I-Pilot and I don't have the issue with it drifting off course like Dutch did. I use the GPS for direction and if the wind blows me off course it tracks back on without me having to do anything. I fish with my wife mostly and it makes it so easy to control the boat while I am taking care of her rods and taking off her fish. The best thing I ever bought for my boat. I think you will be very happy with the Auto-Pilot you are interested in.

I had issues with the Co-Pilot drifting without constant input with the FOB. Since I upgraded to Auto-Pilot, I have not had this issue.

Copilot is not autopilot. Copilot doesnt keep the boat on a straight course. You will constantly have to do that yourself.
