    Default Lake Lanier

Put in at War Hill this morning. Fished the Taylor Creek arm of the lake. Side scan was marking big schools of crappie under the docks. Surface temps were ranging in the upper 40s. It was windy making boat control difficult but the fish were biting. I caught and released 28 eaters in 2 hours on bgbs shooting docks. Most came on mayfly and black gum, also caught several on lights out and electric chicken. Most schools were in 30 to 35 fow. The tops of the schools began at about 20 fow and then went all the way to the bottom.

Sounds good, I've been doing some dock shooting up that way myself. How muddy was the Chestatee?

Going tomorrow with a friend, but we are going after stripers for a change, out of Sardis ramp. I've never caught a nice Lanier striper before, and also want to check out that area. If I see any crappie, I'll set waypoints and go after them next week.

The Chestatee and it’s tributaries are pretty stained due to all the rain. If you are putting in at Sardis don’t forget to stop at Sherry’s and get some of that good bbq.

I'll be getting some bluebacks there early AM. Might try the BBQ on the way home. Based on some intel we got today, we decided to go fish the Little River area instead, and put in at Thompson Bridge.

This is a shot from 2 weeks ago. Jawjatek, you may recognize this dock. Put in at Thompson Creek and didn't have to go to far.

Fishing is like pizza.......Even when it's not that good, it's still pretty good!

Can't see the pics. Photobucket blocks me because I refuse to disable my ad-blocker. I quit using photobucket since they blur the preview, and cut everyone's free hosting off a while back and screwed up the whole internet. I simply use the CDC photo file upload after reducing to 1000 x 750 pixels.

I'm headed up there in a little while as soon as I finish a little work.
