    Default Talquin Colors

What’s your go to colors for for jigs when fishing Talquin? Going down in February and was curious what works for other people. I’ve been going for about 6 years and the colors that have for me in past are blue/black , neon green, acid rain, orange crush and John Deere. Every year seems to be a little different but these colors usually catch fish for me. What other colors do I need to try??

Black/Blue/Chartreuse is always on some of my rods, but the other colors are also good. Just start out with a variety of colors and let the fish tell you what they want. I have seen them change their mind about colors from one day to the next at Talquin. February is a good month for those Talquin Fatties!!

Last week Green Hand Grenade's would have been a good choice! Black/Blue and Acid Rain is mostly what I start with. That will give you some idea if U need to go with dark or light colors. Bite should pickup soon. Been little slow this year to start.

We caught our fish on Monkey Milk and Pink Pearl over the weekend. Used unpainted round ball. We only caught 15 in two days tho. Maybe i had the wrong colors.
