    Default Blackshear get to gather

march 29 or April 4 what do you all think and be good for your schedules. post dates that suites you best or either one
it will be a 1 day event this year and will be at weekend retreat in their open shelter . it is 5 miles north of state park entrance . this decision was made due to the cost increase of the shelter we were using this one is $35.00 and no park pass. weekend retreat was part of Camper haven that was split up over the years. there is a campground up the road that has over night camping if anyone would like to camp there it is called arrow head campground weekend retreat does not have over night camping sites.when a permanent date is made we will put a new post for that

for more information you can call me at 1 229 325 5475

Why don't we just use the covered shelter in the Park camp ground like we use to?

we always have issues about parking and if you not a regular you have to buy parking pass and they went up on every thing so much . the shelter at camper haven is bigger and plenty parking and we have a bath house close by .anyone fishing there is plenty boat parking cross the road .she is only charging$35.00

Lord willin' and the creek don't rise, this will be my first GTG. Not driving all that way unless I can fish the lake, which I haven't had the pleasure of, yet. I have a deer camp about an hour north in Taylor county I can camp at.

Cant say at this time if I can attend are not. But I think like rusty said and I believe you will get a better turn out at the park camp ground. That's just my two cents I know a lot of times it dont mean a lot

need to start a list and a date that will suite every one or majority .need some feed back on this . if you not familiar with camper have and week end retreat. week end retreat is part of the old camper haven the bar is no longer open it is a resident . the campground is most of the time not meany there we have a good clean bath house with 2 showers and 3 commode stalls one men and one for women. this is on the week end retreat side . the one on the camper have side next to boat ramp is not that clean most of the time. my wife says all the time stand up only.the shelter is rarely used the owner uses it for their family reunions and a boat and equipment shelter i think it is bigger than the ones at state park .like some feed back on this . Thanks papasage
