Thanks for advice. Garmin seems to be the winner.

I will never buy another Lowrance product. The unit I bought last year started to not display depth. I called Lowrance and they wanted me to ship it to California and then they ship it to Mexico for a bench test which would cost me $50. Absolutely ridiculous, I replaced the unit with a Humminbird which is made and serviced in Alabama.

I have a HDS 7 Touchscreen. The on/off button quit working. I put a switch in line to turn it on and off.
I was told to send it back along with a credit card debit of $385. They would test and repair then refund any excess from the $385 or if they couldn't repair it they would send me a rebuilt unit.
I can guess how much if my deposit I would get back.
    Last Lowrance for me too.
