    Default Crappie fishing Lanier

Guys, I live in Huntsville, AL and want to fish with an old buddy who lives in Cleveland, GA. Can anybody offer some pointers and insight to Lanier and where to fish for crappie. Trolling, spidering, long lining, jigging, anything at all. I'll use minnows or jigs, y'all name the colors, if I don't have them, I'll get them.

If my saying Cleveland leaves too big a geographic area for helpful input, I'll get some specifics from my friend.

Thanks from an old Jawja redneck who got moved to Abalama.

I answered your PM. From Cleveland I would look at the Chattahoochee river arm, say around Clarks Bridge, and Wahoo Creek. I personally have not fished there much, since I'm on the other side of the lake, but lately I've been having a little luck up north on the Chestatee river arm, out of Thompson Creek ramp (nice ramp). Hey, it's only 38,000 acres, you'll find fish in no time!
