    Default Headed to Eufaula

Got to help my parents clean up some dead pine trees that the power company cut down and then headed fishing. I've been reading all the post between the Ga and AL forum and seems that most people are catching them in about 20 FOW. Has anyone been or heard any reports on Eufaula? It's been about 2 months since I've been.

Thanks. Maybe with this little bit of cooler weather they will get a little hungry.

Bite was a lot better today than Tuesday on Seminole. I haven’t made it to Eufaula in a while.

We fish Saturday morning for a few hours and caught 1 speck and 1 cat over my bamboo structure in 20-22 FOW. Went back Saturday afternoon right of the main channel where I found a lay down and caught 17 specks. I was in about 18-21 FOW on a very steep drop off with bait around 11 ft. We went back Sunday and caught 2 in the morning and 3 that afternoon. I found a lot fish on the steep drops but couldn't get them to bite. I caught all the fish on plain hook and minnow, none on jigs.

I talked to a man Saturday and he said the previous weekend was great and he limited out in 30 minutes or less. The Friday before I got there he said it took him about 6 hours to get his limit.

Haven't been there but other lakes they have been stacked on bushpiles in 20' of water, manmade or natural, so if you know of any try them.

99% of this fish I saw on structure were at the mouth of the creek at the main river channel.
