My first time shooting docks was OK BUT the 5-10 mph wind was actually 15-20 from the east. We did learn much and caught a few fish. We learned that 4 pound line is not good. Lightwire hooks are a must IF you have 6 pound line. 1/24 hooks worked better than 1/32. Big body jigs worked better for this type fishing. Orange jig heads worked best and color jib body had to have some Chartreuse in it. Wind went down at lunch but trolling motor issues sent us home early. Saw a lot of fish on brush but we did not take a minnow.

Going back Monday and this time I am going to Sinclair just for grins and giggles. Oh yea, taking a few minnows this time for a plan B.

I know what you mean about the wind. I fished Sinclair that same morning and only picked up three. hope to get out Mon and give Oconee a try. Gonna do some long lining.
