Default Crappie Lakes and Camping near Decatur

I wanted to reach out to you guys to ask a few questions. I’m a SC Crappie fishing guy and have to come down to the Decatur area for some medical treatment for about a month. Not positive on the timeline yet but I suspect late fall/winter or just after the first of the year. I picked up a Lake Lanier map yesterday to look at the campgrounds in the area on water. My questions are how is the Crappie fishing on Lanier ? Are there campgrounds I should avoid ? Or would you recommend one ? And finally are there closer lakes/Water with good fishing and camping I’ve overlooked? Thanks all

Ducket Mill is a good camp ground, i don't crappie fish much or hardly but you can go up river and find some crappies. also the clarks bridge area is good for crappies. now if you striper fish that's a whole new ball game.
