    Default How Crappie relate to water temp and depth chart?


    Anyone on here have a chart or know where i can find one that tell's me how crappie adjust to water temp changes and depth? I use to have a book that had all this information in it but once we moved i can't find anything..

    Several months ago I watched a really good fishing show that went into detail as to how the various water temps at different depths affected the oxygen levels. They said that the fish were suspended at different depths due the oxygen levels rather than the temps. They go hand in hand. Wish I could find that show again.

    I've heard about thermocline where the warm water meets the cool water is where the fish will be because of the good oxygen level. It's the thick line on the fish finder if equipped. My experience is it's usually shallow. Around 5 feet or so. I do usually fish in shallow waters.
