    Default Help With Sinclair ??

    Afternoon lip snatching fools!
Me and my lovely bride just purchased a house on Sinclair . Right of 441 across the cove from Sunset Marina. I'm looking for any advice to where i can find some summertime crappie? I shot docks yesterday evening for an hour or two once the boat traffic settled down and caught a few smaller fish. I'm getting old so night stalking is an option but would rather catch them during the daylight if possible. Any advice on finding keeper size fish 10.5" - 11" on Sinclair this time of year would truly be appreciated. Push come to shove i can always trailer my boat 30 min up the road to Oconee i know that lake a good bit better than Sinclair. However couldn't afford the house payment up there..

We done good Saturday night in 35-40 fow, haven't?tried them during the day since it's got hot. But my son is on leave next week so we're going to do some day fishing. I caught 13 that were 10-15" using minnows, and the hybrids were running good to.

No problem buddy, I just started fishing for them this winter, this forum has been really helpful. The people on here are great and don't mind helping you out.

Yes Sir, Great group of guys and gals! one thing you can try also is the search feature at the top RH side of the screen. You can look way back in time at all the post people have put out there for Crappie catching knowledge.. I really just got back in to crappie fishing about 5-6 years ago my self. Use to do it all the time with my Dad and granddad but once i lost both of them i kinda just didn't have the want to do it anymore. But now that my Boy has been after me to take him I've been trying to remember how to do it all over again.

If you are shooting docks go to deeper docks near creek and river channels this time of year. The older and shadier docks are best. 1/24 rd/grn/yw and w/grn/w have worked well for me in the past. Use your chart or a map to find the deeper docks.

Thank 2@low8, what about any brush near the twin bridges or mid lake area? I'm not just a dock shooter , I'll try what ever it takes to catch some quality fish.. Am i just spoiled by the size of the fish at Oconee compared to Sinclair?

I use to crappie fish Sinclair when the steam plant was really going. So my knowledge on Sinclair is limited. But I do know Oconee and I would bet that Sinclair crappie are the same. This time of year, a good number of crappie are on the trees and brush piles. The state of Georgia has put out fish attractors on Sinclair. Here is a link to the attractors complete with GPS coordinates :-)
