    Default Weekend fishing

Anyone going to try it this weekend. The water lice will be in full force, as warm as the water is. I think i will stay on the bank and under the shade tree. No fishing here

I will be avoiding the lake, but I think a few hours on the Little river with the canoe are on order.

I have been catching fish daily up to yesterday but when the temperature is high 90s it's time to do honeydew work around the house early and sit in the AC.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

I more than likekly will be sitting in my fishing spot when it's light enough to see on Memorial Day. I dont expect to be there more than a few hours before all the campers wakes up and gets started. They can have it then. This might be getting VERY CLOSE to my last YAHOO on the lake until next winter. Dunno……….. Ive had a GREAT year for the number of times I got to fish this year. No complaints, but it's time for the pleasure boaters and that's fine with me. They deserve their time too.

I personally avoid the lakes the 3 big summer holidays. Don't care to get out there with and wrestle the rough water. Plenty of other things to do

Well, unfortunately for me, I aint retired yet so fishing can only be when I aint working (for now anyways). I'm working this weekend and will only be off Monday. I'll take two days off late next week to replace the two weekend days I'm working now. My days to work is mon-Friday with an occasional weekend thrown in. If the good Lord is willing, in 2 & 1/2 more years I'll be eligible for Medicare so I will finally be able to retire.

Besides, from my experience, I've fished ALOT of holidays. Ive found if you get there early and fish from daylight until about 9:30-10AM it usually isn't bad at all. Around 10AM the campers have been up, had breakfast, and are about ready to rough up the lake so that's when I head to the ramps.

Have a GREAT Memorial Day and take a minute to say a prayer for all those that gave everything to give us the freedom to enjoy what we enjoy.
