i have not but have planned on it . i have a bunch of cranks like bandit and some other small ones . seams like i saw a post where some one did trill them on Blackshear .
I've recently got into long lining for crappie and really enjoyed doing it this past winter into spring. My question is does anyone pull crankbaits in the summer for crappie? Looking on youtube I've seen lots of videos of guys doing it but none some to be in Georgia. Just wondering if anyone has tried it during the summer months.

retired and now i will always fish
A number of people do. But most of the lakes in mid GA have black crappie. Crankbaits work a lot better on white crappie. Bartletts Ferry has white crappie and one other lake that I can't remember off hand.
There were some guys pulling cranks once it got hot while I was still pulling jigs. Honestly, I couldnt tell that they were catching any more fish than I was. It takes alot of money to pull cranks if youre not set up for it. Good luck.
