    Default Shooting Docks at Tobo

Has anyone in the Middle GA area shot docks at Tobo? Is it worth the hassle of the pleasure boaters and jet skis? Thinking about going tomorrow afternoon if the wind isn’t bad. Would appreciate any input.

I have caught them shooting the docks across from Sandy beach, and across from Arrowhead on the deep docks in the mouth of that cove.

I hope you got to go and had great luck. Tobo has some very pretty crappie. Shooting docks would be challenging if the pleasure boats are out unless you anchor in front of each dock. I have always wanted to buy the power poles or Talons that anchor you quickly in the water if it isn't to deep. That would make dock shooting easy. LOL. Good luck fishing.

Thanks guys. It was a challenge with the pleasure boaters out in full force on and a lot of people fishing or sunbathing on their docks. The wind was a small challenge too. I managed a 3lb. catfish and no crappie. I plan to go back on a weekday morning. My wife did a pretty good job shooting docks by the way. On the positive, I found some areas where trolling would be good.

You are wasting your time shooting docks there. It is the only lake in the world that seems to not ever have fish under the docks no matter time of year and i dont understand why. Besides the few here and there I have never had any luck under docks and now dont even attempt it when going there.

i havent had much luck at all there, mainly because of all the pleasure boaters running all over.
Best of luck if you go
