    Default Headed somewhere tomorrow....

Oconee or Blackshear. Haven't seen any reports from Oconee lately. Friends went to Blackshear today and was loaded up by 12:30 with 2 limits of solid fish. Any thoughts????? Hard for me to decide because I'm almost right in the middle of both lakes. Thanks for any info, Grant

Sounds like blackshear is on fire. I fished till 12 and decided to give up trying for the spawning fish. I had no luck this spring at all!!! I fished timber all morning and caught and released some nice fish. Running double jigs 1/16 oz. I started down close to lick creek and the water was on the muddy side. Caught some smaller fish so I ran south. I found the big girls in timber in 65 ft water. I now you can catch them in timber from reading your reports. Good luck!!

Well, went to Blackshear..... bite never really turned on for us. WT 70 to start,75 @end. Caught best fish in 10-12' water. Ended day with 30 keepers. Thanks rctsr & jim b for info! Oh yeah, picked me a map of Blackshear(gotta learn this lake all over again) @ Flint River Outdoors. May I add, GREAT folks @ this place!!! All in all, good day!
