What part of the lake did you fish? Just wondering how much the temp varies in the upper and lower lake.
Took the Ole Man. He had a blast. With mid 30s this morning it was bone cold. Water temp was 57.5 so I stayed deep 18-25 ft then went in 10-14. I tried shallow but the fish were not there at least where I was. Anybody else catching shallow? Water temp never got over 59.5. With the full moon late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning depending on what time you use these fish are wanting to go shallow. Bellies are red from fanning. Had several fish over a pound. Double 1/16s did well. Color did not matter.

Caught them shallow last tuesday before the cold weather headed there thursday for 4 days hopefully i can put out a good report
I was also there on Sunday, but only for a few hours. I was a little further north up the river, and I had similar water temps. I did manage 8 nice keeps, and I had also been on Friday. Now, that was a good day. Probably caught over 80 fish (two of us in the boat), and cleaned 39. We were long lignin in 4 - 10 FOW, single 16, and best color was orange with chart. tail.
Now, we witnessed a pretty cool thing, and attached is a picture of the Eagle. A Blue Heron and a hawk were fighting over a meal (looked like a dead big fish), and the hawk was the winner. Then, the hawk left, and in came the eagle. At that point, two hawks attacked, and ran the eagle off. Then a osprey came in and tried to do the same thing, and the hawks ran the osprey off. Anyway, we thought that was pretty cool. The picture is not the best, but I take pictures like I fish - only as a hobby!

retired and now i will always fish
We caught around 30 and kept 25 fishing south of Sunny point to Jackson.
They never did turn on. It was one here two there kind of day.
Rarely marked fish or bait.
Caught quite a few small stripes and some decent hybrids that kept things lively.
most all were caught in 14 to 22 ft of water.
