    I like to lay the line across my finger, I liked red head chartreuse, and pink black green. I use a close face reel , what do you guys prefer.

    I use spinning reels. Something in the 1000 series size. I also use mostly six foot rods although I'm trying out a seven foot Falcon to see if it will help with levering the fish out of some docks.

    X2 on the small spool and a 7 ft rod. Don't seem there would be much difference between a 6 and 7 ft rod, but there is with me.

    Also use a premium line, no bigger than 6lb usually 4 lb mostly. Hi viz lines get the nod here.

    try a lighter head, i havent had much luck shooting docks, my opinon its a bit to early. you got the best fishing partner there is.
