    Default Lake Oconee

I started out early thursday and it was very cold. I started close to a creek where I launch and picked up a few smaller fish so I ran to lick creek and started between the bridges and was marking no fish so I decided to run to salem creek and I picked up a couple more but they were decent. The water temp was 49 degrees and all the fish I caught were in deeper water. I then ran back to where I launched and tried some new places. The pattern for me the last two days was to fish the ledges on the river channel and fish the points where creek channel joined the river channel. I was running double 1/16 oz jigs and the hot color was black and yellow with a orange tail. Both days have been very good for big fish. Had some over 2 lbs and a lot over a 11/2. Was fun fishing so I released all fish. I almost forgot if someone fished this method be prepared to catch a bunch of stripers.

Sounds like the water temp dropped big time. Last Saturday I found 59.5 temps.
