I know there's a get together at lake Blackshear in April. Do they ever have one on Oconee?

not that i have heard of. we have been having them at Blackshear for a few years. lake Talquin has them in the fall. someone there would have to put one together if there was enough interest. Blackshear is a central location for So. Ga.

Would be fun but don't know anywhere to have one as the Ga Power Parks generally stay full once they open for the year. Swing by the land department and check to see when would be a viable time of year to have one. Id be willing to help out if it gets rolling.

could be somewhere besides the park. really don`t have to be right on the water.
but i think it would help. that is what i like about Ga Veterans State park the pavilion in the campground is closed in and airconditioned if we have more than that has been coming we will have to get the bigger one but it will cost a lot more.that is why we have ticket sales for door prizes to pay expenses.

On Oconee it would probably be best to have it at one of the State Parks or a nice camp ground. The Georgia Power landings are to crowded and there is not enough room to have it. Just my useless opinion.

The pavilions are located at the three different parks located around the lake. The public landings have none and aren't set up to host any kind of events.

Before I moved to Ga back in Va we had three bashes a year. Winter, Spring, and the fall. We would all meet before the start at one place and if you wanted we would put up five dollars and the biggest crappie won!! This was so other fisherman could meet and greet. We had no meals just a greet and meet. The winner had bragging right for that year. It was a lot of fun!!!!!
