Default Question about trolling speed tight lining

I am in the process of changing my boat set-up from long-lining over to tight lining. I can still long line out of the back. My question is at what speed do I need to troll. I normally troll long lining around .09 to 1.2 mph

Are you going to be pushing with like 2 oz sinkers or are you spider rigging moving slow with 1/2 oz to 3/4 oz sinkers?

Spider Rigging speeds are usually less than 0.5mph (in my understanding)

Pushing speeds are usually greater than 0.5mph to less than 2mph

You are setting up just like Hotwater. Youtube combo trolling. Lot of video's with info. Even how to make your weights

Usually I will try to stay .2-.3, lately I have found they want it more in the .4-.5 range. Last fall on the lake I fish the most they got to where they wanted it at .7 even with bare minnows. You just have to try different speeds and let them tell you. But my most productive has always been the .2-.4 range.

Thank You all for the information you shared with me. What is the difference in pushing and spider rigging? I assume pushing is with just one hook and weight. I have looked at many of the video's

Spider rigging used lighter weight and slower speeds, pushing uses heavier weights to be able to increase speeds and still keep baits down.

I have been spider rigging for a long time and tried several different rigs. I now use 1 ounce of lead. I can combo troll at 1 mph (like Hotwater does).
If I am just only spider rigging I will run anywhere from .5 to 1.0. In real shallow water I like to work a little slower, if the fish are in deep water and scattered, and less than 15 feet deep, I like to work faster.
Every spot is different and every day is different. I have caught fish from 1 foot below the surface to 40 feet deep in all depths of water. The 1 ounce of lead gives me the versatility to change with the conditions of the day.
