I love it when a plan finally comes together! I hate not finding the problem the first time. It took me several trips recently to find my bad starter. Glad you got it fixed! We were out there in the fog yesterday too.
With the weather being so nice I decided to fish on sunday with all the other boats. I launched at the crack of dawn an ran where I caught the fish the last tine out. I was marking a load of fish on the fish finder. I started trolling and picked up a few non keepers and I noticed I was losing power to my trolling motor. I looked at my hand held unit and it showed my batteries were almost dead. I loaded up the boat and ran back to the house to find the problem. I thought I found the problem and charged the batteries and headed back to the boat ramp. I started fishing and noticed the same problem. I loaded up and went home. When I got home I Found a problem I thought would fix my problem. I charged my batteries overnight and Monday I felt confident I had solved my problem. I ran to double creek and started at mouth and again I was marking loads of fish!!!! The fog rolled in and I relied on my depth finder to get around at first light. I picked two nice fish then the problem returned. I was a little upset and returned to the boat ramp and went home. When I got home I switched out the charger out of my other boat and that was my problem. I charged my batteries for 4 hours and off to the ramp I go. I ran back to the same place I started in the morning and the wind started to blow so I decided to check out some new waters. I ran to a smaller creek out of the wind and picked up a few fish and the trolling motor batteries held up fine. Not much of a fishing report but I think I have the bugs out!!!!!!

I fished Thursday and the boat batteries held up with no problem. The fishing was tuff!!!!! I fished a half day and started in double creek. If anybody wants to catch some stripers I caught 7 while long lining for crappie. They can cause major tangles. I've gotten good at retiring. Practice makes perfect. I fished some places and got skunked!!!! No crappies today.

i have to change my trolling battery. i put it on charge the other day and the trolling motor says it is low only 1/2 of the lights are on .
got a new one in the truck ready to install
retired and now i will always fish
I have my batteries set up on a power mania three bank charger. It is always plugged up when not on the water. I hate dealing with battery issues. Once installed all you have to do is plug up the extension cord.
