    Default COMBO TROLLING 12/3/18 (VIDEO)

Jim and I fished Lake Oconee today and had one of our better days. The water was 50-52 degrees. We pushed and pulled jigs as usual. The darker colors worked best as there was a good stain on the water. The fish were scattered early but moved closer to the timber as the sun got higher. We fished until 1:40 and caught 30 fish in the 11-14.5 inch range. We kept 16 for the fryer. The weather was beautiful and so was the fishing. I do not add weight to my long line set-up under normal circumstances but today I added weight as the fish were holding deeper. The added weight paid off.

I was out Monday and I was wondering did you have any trouble with all the floating crap!!! All the places I fished it was a problem. I caught a lot of small fish but nothing like last Thursday. It looks like you and Jim are tearing them up!!!! Great catch and video!!!!

Floating leaves and pine straw is always a problem for long liners this time of year. You have to watch your lines close and check them often. Many times yesterday I reeled up lines and found them cluttered with debris.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

That's a nice day. I bought me a cheap gopro clone to try my hand at videoing. If I ever feel like going again I'm going to give it a shot.

I enjoy the Go Pro. I hope you get on the water soon. It's on!
