Nice catch!!! When is the next get together on Blackshear?
I'll be getting a new boat in a few weeks and Blackshear is one of the lakes I want to go fish. Never been before!

Its not going to be any time soon. Still waiting for the tin hull (this week maybe), and then the Yamaha F50 has to go on. Then I custom wire the boat myself (GT EE), install the Terrova, install the sonar etc. Then I'M A GAWN FISHIN! Lanier boat ramp is 20 min so I'll be learning the craft there. When I get more confident, I'll venture out beyond familiar waters. Maybe a week or four.
I'll check here before I go anywhere new, on the ins and outs and levels.
I'm used to checking river/lake gauges on-line and learning dam/flood op schedules where I fish in my kayak. Like the Flint when I go for shoalbass, or below Lanier on the 'hooch. I just need to learn how to launch and operate this boat safely first, then fishing trips can commence.
