    Default This one was real deep.


    I caught this 1.68# crappie 45' deep jigging the ice jig in the picture. Caught a lot of other trash fish also but this was the best of the crappie.

    I jigged up striper, hybrid, catfish, and bass down to 55'. But the the deepest I've caught is 38'.

    Back to trolling Tuesday.

    Hey guys I'm from California but I enjoy reading threads from other states also. Crappie at my local lake hold at 45ft or deeper from late fall till early spring as far as I can tell. What's the maximum depth of the lakes there?

    Some are up to 100+ feet deep. Some 10-12 just depends on what part of the state you are in.
