Been there, done that. I am old and fish very often all over the SE. I looked at all the boats 4 years ago and decided on the War Eagle 754VS. It has the best storage, access, and comfort. Everything is within reach of the front seat and I even added remote control anchors. 754VS - War Eagle Boats

One of my fishing pals just purchased an 16' Express boat and it is a very well built boat with heavy Aluminum. I like this boat also. The G3 Boat is a fine boat but two of my friends had to take their boats back for internal leaks. If you want to get a good boat for the money look at the Panfish 16 from Tracker boats. If you choose Tracker upgrade to the 40 HP option.TRACKER Boats : Bass & Panfish Boats : 2018 Panfish 16 Motors

I don't know what the other boats have as their decks, I bought a Fisher CS Hawk back in 1991 as my first boat because it had all metal decks. I know the War Eagle, Duracraft and the others that are mentioned are great boats but the Bass Tracker Panfish Special has Marine Plywood in the deck unless they have changed. All my friends that bought that boat, and that was quite a few, had the deck rot out. I like a metal and I would look for that if I was buying a new boat. Good luck with your boat purchase.

I have a 2016 alumacraft 1448 with a 2015 50hp 4 stroke Tohatsu which still has around 2 years of warranty.. Well maintained, stick steer setup. Radio mounted under driver seat with 2 6x9’s in the rear and 2 6” speakers in the front. Has the millennium seats and comes with a 24 volt 65lb thrust foot controlled trolling motor that mounts up front. Motor runs great and pretty fast for a river boat. $7500 firm.
