    KFC, If you are gonna be in Thomasville, you will only be 1 hour from Talquin and just a few minutes from Lake Iamonia. Those are 2 very good places for crappie. Most people long line these lakes here in the south, but spider rigging works also. I think I'd leave the crankbaits in the tackle box tho...With all the structure in many of these lakes, that could get expensive.
    I fish Talquin a good bit, so holler at me if you head that way....Good Luck!!

    I bet I can figure out how to longline jigs. Appreciate all the info and suggestions. Looking forward to cooler temps and learning the surrounding lakes. Got to head back to Ky this wknd. I have had a skeet shoot with the mens group at church for the last 5-6 yrs and couldnt cancel that because of a job
