Thanks for the report. I didn't go this weekend due to work and I figured that the lake would be whipped to a forth by boat traffic on Friday starting the long weekend,
I am going Friday come hell or high water.

I have been on the lake once since May...I hope I can remember not only how to catch fish, but how to get to the lake.

I’m after ‘Em about all year. Hot water temps make it rough. Water is 85 on my lake. A couple of weeks back I caught 12 eaters shooting deep docks. Since then the dock bite has been a little slow. This morning I decided to try my luck verticle jigging bridge pilings. About 6:30 AM, I caught 3 close to the bottom in 15 ft of water on the pilings closest to the bank. As it got later in the morning and it got hotter the bite got deeper, and I moved out to the pilings toward the center in deeper water, and caught 5 more eaters suspended at 25 ft in 40 ft of water. Fishing hard but that was all I could manage.

Summertime work load at the plant kills my fishing during May-September, but it slows down after today...it will be on the water (or woods deer hunting) just about every week from now to next May.
