    Default Favorite Jigs and Colors


    I've had good luck over the years with white or chartreus popeye jigs(mainly white). Also like Bobby Garland baby shad in twilight, pink phantom, and electric chicken. I throw a lot of pink or red jig heads. I usually use the 1/32 head for a slow fall.
    What are some other good ones y'all have had good luck on?

    Casting :
    For the times when a "little" bait is warranted .... I use Panfish Assassin Tiny Shad 1.5" - Popsicle, Albino Shad

    When a bigger bait is warranted, and they want some "wiggle" in the tail and a slow falling bait ... I use the Mr Crappie/Strike King Crappie Thunder Tube 1.75" - Junebug/char, Popsicle

    When a bigger bait is warranted, and they want a "minimum action" gliding bait ... I use the Slabanator Mini Rod 1.75" - Blackberry Pie, Purple Ice

    Pushing:
    Slabanator Hot Rod 2.5" ... Slabanator Booty Shaker 2" ... Mr Crappie Slabalicious Swimbait 2" ... Mr Crappie Shadpole 2" - various colors, but mostly greens, blues, purples with chartreuse tails

    I'm with Dutch on the Hot pink head. I like to pull a monkey milk and shoot docks with a chartreuse hair jig or a black/yellow feather jig.
