Fished Lick creek yesterday from 10:30-3pm. Mainly fished the channel between the 2 bridges in 18' of water with fair results. Southeast wind kept my boat at 1.56 mph. Used the minnkota to try and slow us down a bit but was tough going in that big open area. Water temps was 58-61 degrees. Fished 8-12' deep and all but one were hens full of eggs. Pushed double 1/16 jigs with black/blue/black and black/char/black being the colors of preference. I had intended to fish Richland Creek but the baitshops in the area were out of minnows. Went to 6 different places before I found bait. Oconee Outdoors told me they sold 40 lbs of minnows in less than 2 days. The guy at Jerrys told me that issues out west were causing shortages for him and some of the other stores. Soooooo with that being said.......call ahead of time and check to see if they have minnows so you dont spend 2.5 hours riding around hunting bait like I did
