Went yesterday and tried many depths and color of jig and even went to the smallest minnows that the local gas station sold. Very first cast and my bobber went under. I did not get the fish since I was paying attention to my jig rod. After that not eve a bite. Two people in a boat fishing what looked to be a roadrunner jig did decent and two other bank fishing men were pulling them in on minnows left and right. Not sure what I did wrong but am going to try and go back this evening and this time go back and use the medium minnows! I am glad those other people were doing good.

Hartwell can be tough sometimes to decipher, back of coves are in some cases up to 74 degrees this week. Seems like crappie are in different water depths. Crappie caught this week were had no eggs, but one. Gumlog is known for producing good numbers. Agree on black and chartreuse jigs.

I went yesterday and it was slow. Caught one. It was not a keeper. I had some other bites, all on minnows, one foot down. The keeper was caught on an organ explosion and chartreuse jig. Thanks
