Beautiful fish. I'm glad you all found some in spite of the bad weather.
Eight of us headed down to Crescent City, Fl on the 22nd for some Spec Fishing. We fished Crescent Lake, Dead Lake, Woodruff Lake, Norris Dead River, and Blue Peter Lake. One boat caught no fish, one boat caught 2, one boat caught 15, and my boat caught 38 really nice Specs. We went through 6 Tornado Warnings on the way down, 20-40 MPH winds on Monday, 15-20 MPH winds on Tuesday. The water Temp was 65-69 degrees on all days. The water temp told me that the good fish would be shallow and they were. The two boats that caught fish were fishing in 1-2 FOW in tight cover. We caught a few on jigs on Monday but Tuesday we went in with minnows. Minnows were the key, fished on #2 Gold hooks under corks with NO weight. Our best day was fishing Blue Peter Lake. We had two up until 3 PM and then it happened. We fished the banks of Dead lake on Wednesday and really caught some nice specs....(Crappie, White Perch)

Some mighty fine fish!
Sounds like y'all were working em! Good deal and nice catch.
Leaving Tuesday...maybe with the weather change the bite has also. Usually fish around Dead lake.
Crescent and Dead Lake are Dead. It has been fished to death and will cycle back in a few years. There are some good fish to be caught but few and far between.
