Dutch, Just trying to find out if anyone is having any success there recently. I found a trolling motor for my river boat near the lake and decided to make a fishing trip out of it.I used to fish the lower end a lot, but was thinking of trying the Florence area.

Thanks for the info Dutch. My trip my get postponed. My mother-in-law passed away this last Monday, and wife is not doing too well right now.

I heard 2 weeks ago it was happening. Last Monday the cold seems to push them back out and slow them down. Had to go deep to get the few we had. Water temp was 48- 50 degrees. Air temp that morning was 25 degrees, a rude awakening in Rood Creek.

    Sorry about your loss!
We plan to hit it once a week starting February 9th.
This should be a great year on Eufaula. The shad population is close to being back since they killed the grass. Last week a friend had several 1.5lb fish near the pump house.
