How are all my fellow Georgia crappie seekers doing? I have been chilling here in Wisconsin. Been a little cold up here but starting to get some warmer weather. Once the ice is out I will be hunting those spring crappie. Usually starts here around the second week of April when they start pouring into the warmer shallows to spawn. The earliest I caught them here spawning was April 7th. I didn't get out ice fishing for them this year due to the weather conditions and being busy buying a cabin in the north woods. Now the ice is getting unsafe so I will wait until the spring spawn.
Enjoy your fishing down there. Part of me misses the great crappie fishing in Georgia, especially at Lake Oconee.
