    Default Dang! What Next?

Our problem with garden pests has been well documented in previous posts this summer. Something is still getting tomatoes and watermelons at night. I purchased a new trail camera in preparation for bow season and set it out by the garden. I put some watermelon rinds on the ground next to the fence and got this picture last night. I thought it was a fox at first but as I enhanced the picture I changed my mind and I believe it is a coyote. I hope to get a picture of a black panther next!

Well at least ya ain't got no bears! I was considered baiting bears, official warning from state trapper, for having a garden and chicken coup without certain paramater of electric fence around em. I would give that yote a lil lead poisoning if it were me.

That is a yote, they are bad about fruits and vegetables. Friend had one come up in his yard a couple of weeks ago. Broad daylite and eating Pears off the ground. They also will get young tender corn.

They will raise up on back legs , with stiff front legs and come down on watermelon and bust it wide open.

I had always heard they would eat watermelons. And talk about stink! They are raunchy. I called one in with a mouth call several years ago and killed it with my .223. That thing reeked.
