Thank you very much. I am looking forward to learning from you guys.

I am a licensed funeral director, embalmer, certified crematory operator, monument salesman, life insurance agent, and notary public. I live in Micanopy, Florida and have some of the best lakes just down the street from me- Orange, Newnans, Lochloosa.

I got married in October and she said- Honey buy me a boat, so I did. Right away, too. No sense waiting for her to change her mind you know. 20 foot center console Xpress aluminum bay boat. It has a hand controlled 24v trolling motor and a Hummingbird 2d sonar with GPS. It can go fine surprisingly skinny water with trolling motor, and can also take us to the rivers, the Gulf of Mexico, and the intracoastal waterway.

This is a renaissance for me as I used to surf fish. Once I got started with that it was all I cared to do. I learned as much as I could and later began helping thousands of people learn basic and complex skill sets. Participated in a casting contest and threw a 5 ounce sinker 705 feet. Landed a 100 pound tarpon from the beach and lots of sharks. Mostly I targeted pompano and gave several seminars regarding catching table fish for dinner. I made specialized surf fishing sinkers taught a friend to make them, and he now sells them to people. Surf fishermen are not really catered to by businesses so we make most of our stuff ourselves. I designed several inventions and a rig that is now very commonly used.

I gave up surf fishing last Winter because the drive had become just too much of a hassle. Almost two hours there and another two back at the end of a long hard day just got old. That and zombies strolling up and down the beach wanting to interact with me. I plan to keep the garage full of tackle though. LOL

I plan to share my ideas and experiments here as I go, and look forward to suggestions. Most likely I will be just an average crappie fisherman, but for me the learning and experiences are key to enjoyment.
