Default How do I catch a crappie?

Hi, I'm a brand newbie and not very computer literate so this is the only place I've found to be able to post something.
So here goes; I moved down to Florida from NJ/PA, up north I had no trouble catching crappies, my go to bait was a 2.25 fin-S-fish (Lunker City) in alewife
Since I moved down here (3 years) I have only caught one crappie (except when a friend took me out to lake Toho in his boat), I know they are here (and can be caught from the bank) because other people catch them. I've tried curly tails, hair jigs, crappie sliders, every kind of soft plastic by Bobby Garland, Strike King, Crappie Magnet, Mr. crappie, Mr. twister I can find with no luck, I've caught nothing but bass on the smallest crappie lures I haveI've changed colors, depth, fishing times, line, rods and reels but every time I go out I only catch bass or an occasional bluegill can use a little help please
