I just took a look at the "Archives" forum, and I see what you mean. That was the first time I've ever looked at that forum. No wonder I didn't understand what he meant! :D
What you are saying is that stickys aren't just for newbies, huh?

Yes ... Wish4fish is correct. There is no "quote" button in the Archives Forum posts. They are essentially closed, and therefore cannot be replied to, so there's no need for one. To quote from a message in the Archives ... you would need to use the highlight/copy/paste method. Even this method would not give you a highlighted quote (like your statements are shown, here) ... but, would only give you the exact words of the original author (like wish4fish's quote above) ... and you would have to add quotations marks, and/or identify the orignal author of the quote, otherwise it would look like it was "you" that was making the statement (or plagierizing someone else's statements).

    ... cp
Just a little tip for linking to the archives, once you find the post you want to quote (but can't) click on the post number in the top right corner of that post, it will refresh the page and align that particular post at the top. Now just copy and past the main URL which will now contain post# at the end, into your new post.

    Hope this helps some!

I don't know if this is where to ask this question, but since I'm sort of a newbie, here goes. When reading posts that continue on, is there a setting that we can use that takes us to where we left off in our reading of the posts? On one of my other fishing sites, it works that way and I find it to be very handy. Thanks, and I apologize if posting this in the wrong spot.

It may be a modification I can apply. Can you please PM me what that other forum is, and I can see what they are running, and then I can look for the mod if it's available. Thanks
