Hello from Central Texas and thanks for the welcome notes. I've done some crappie fishing but not enough crappie "catching"! Thus my nickname: "steakstonight"! I'm hoping that I can learn a great deal from this forum and the advice I receive from all of you! I recently bought an older model Express boat but still learning my way around the boat, the electronics and the local lakes (Granger, Bastrop, Decker (Walter E Long) and Somerville are closest) so any information you can send along regarding those would be of particular interest. Can always use info on where people are catching crappie, how deep and what bait. And if someone wants to share some of their waypoints - now that would be a true "crappie buddy"! LOL! I'm not opposed to use a guide to help get me started so again any and all information is appreciated. Lets get the beef taste out of my mouth and load it with some great tasting crappie! Thanks!
