    Lightbulb Other Fly Fishing Forums

    Hey fellow Fly Fishers. While I love to fish for crappie my first love in fishing is Fly Fishing. For those who would like a forum a bit more focused on FFing might I suggest two other forums which are specifically for FFing.

    1 is Fly Anglers Online : while primarily a trout forum, they do have a significant Warm Water crowd and contributors. Look for any content by Rick Z.

    Go to: Fly Anglers OnLine, Your Complete Internet Flyfishing Resource.

    On the left hand menu go to FOTW (Fly of the week) for a month's reading on different fly and bug patterns that work well on warm water species, including crappie. Again look for any pattern by Rick Z.

    For the forum go to: FAOL BB

    2 is Warm Fly. While this forum is not as active as I would like it is focused on Warm Water FFing only. As with FOAL look for posts by Rick Z (he uses the same ID on both forums). He is a dedicated warm water fisherman who is very willing to share how he catches lots of Bluegill and Crappie.

    Go to: Warm Fly - Index

    My ID on FOAL is Bluegill Budd and on WF it is Clint KY.

    And if you know of any other Warm Water fishing websites please feel free to share.

    Clint, Howdy;

    Another excellent forum deals mostly with wet flies, mostly wingless Soft-hackles and Flymphs ...

    A smallish group, a few of the stuffed winged back men's club (tut-tut), types but they're harmless
    and don't bite, just grumble when the topics of beads and synthetics show-up. But as I mentioned harmless.

    Here's the link; FLYMPH FORUM - Flymph Forum

    Clint /ClintKY, Howdy;

    You should introduce yourself over there. Most are friendly, those that bark don't bite.
