Thread: The Tip Lost It!

When I was a youngster I was walking the shore of a small lake, fishing a chart. popper for largemouth bass. I had caught a few when my fly became snagged on twig. I tried to work it loose, to no avail, and it came off the leader. So not wanting to loose my fly I took the tip of the rod and started moving it towards me where I could reach, but just as I was about to get it a bass decided he wanted more. So I sadly watched my prized popper disappear with nothing to show for it but an event I've remembered for a lifetime.

lol. I have had that happen before but the fish let it go shortly after. had to tie another one on and cast a bunch to get that one back.
