    Default Help Lake Crescent specks.

This time of year I usually troll for specks in Woodruff and Dexter. This year I wanted to try trolling in Lake Crescent. I have been using all the things that work on Woodruff and Dexter, But I am struggling on the north end of Crescent near the mouth of Dunn's Creek. I have pretty much covered the lake for about 3 miles south of Dunn's Creek. I have used every color of plastic and jig head color that is made. .8 - 1.2 MPH, trolled north, east, south and west, deep and shallow.... Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated..

I too have trolled mostly down south of crescent. I’ve only been there 3, maybe 4 times and it trolls very different for me than our lakes further south. I’m no expert and it’s been a few years since I’ve been up there. Persistence has been my only salvation for the few I’ve gotten. But also, what I’ve gotten were above average. Hope you figure it out.

I gave it everything I had. Never found a pattern or a school. I will probably try it again next year. Anyone with experience long line trolling the lake that would like to share your thoughts are welcome. JC
