    Default GOBBLE-GOBBLE!!

Seems as though, lately, I'm stuck on 2 word Post-topics! Yesterday, while hosting a great friend, AJ, to my saltwater side-show addiction, we blessedly came across this Turkey Concert/Show not 1/4 mile from our launch-point! We both did the Live-Cam video/audio record with our phones =INCREDIBLE. Unfortunately, my non-Geekerly ways prevent my sharing of the 55 second STRUT-OFF!! Even though I claim to be a fisherman, trust me on this...THIS was the Big One that DIDN'T Get away! I got the VIDEO! The Kewlest part is, that my bud, AJ, is a real-deal HARLEY-dude and his wife has a Harley 3-wheeler![He has his HARLEY parked in their living room{NO LIE!}] Yep, if you're like me, you wouldn't know a HARLEY even if someone told you so. Back to the KEWL part...YES, that IS a HARLEY in the pic, AND the vocal TOM-squabbling we were privy to was obviously the TOMS trying to win the HEN-date to the DAYTONA BEACH Bike Week in just THREE DAYS!(March 3 - 12). Unfortunately, the saltwater bite was disappointing, did harvest a few Blue Crabs for him in my 5 Pots and enjoyed the comraderie.

You know, some things you just can't make-up...Ok, Ok - maybe me, lol.

Love watching the turkey show too. I see them a lot in my travels. Around here it’s the owls with the outstanding serenade from time to time. I’ve heard more unusual sounds being made by them here than anywhere else in my life. And I’ve spent as much of it as possible outside in one way or another. Sorry the fish were somewhere else, maybe better next week when the moon fills up.

Dang. I'd love to see that video. And ain't nothing wrong with a Harley in the house. I would have something similar if I could.

I sold a house to a man that keeps his Harley in the dining room. Not sure he revs it in there, I hope he just pushes it in.

I grew up harvesting crabs from the Potomac River. We pulled the traps by hand from 25 feet, and there were hundreds of them. Cooked and then sold. I learned a lot about them green river crabs. I no longer run pots, but still like crabs. About once a year they have a sale on canned crab meat- lump. I load up and keep them in the fridge for making crab cakes for the princess. An egg, a few saltines, and that is it. Fat patties on a bun with lettuce, tomato, s&p, and mayo. Dash of Old Bay if you must.

This is the time of year we get a week long run of the big bluefish at the inlets. Light tackle and lures gets it done. Some are real bruisers, but miss this week long show and it’s gone. People say they don’t like eating bluefish. They just never had it properly prepared. Bluefish stuffed with crab is a real treat.
Maybe they will bite this one……

I’ve known a few guys that kept their scooters in the house. One was an old military surplus 45 that only ever went one way, always came home in a pickup. Not bad decorating to my way of thinking.

Yeppir...Broiled Bluefish filet w/skin-on slather w/mayo sprinkled w/OLD BAY! I call it the MAYO BLUES! Told some shoreline fishermen on Md.'s Patuxent River about 35 years ago = They DO NOT throw them back ANYMORE!! About 4 - 5 mins under broiler 'til GOLDEN BROWN!!
